The free movement of workers is one of the four fundamental freedoms of the EU and thus a central pillar of the European idea. Both for the economy and for the people themselves, internal migration is associated with great opportunities. Germany in particular benefits greatly from immigration from the EU. It is therefore all the more important that labor migration to Germany takes place under fair conditions and in compliance with the law. This action guide was developed in close cooperation with the Berlin Advisory Center for Migration and Good Work (BEMA) and uses concrete examples and topics to explain to EU workers their rights and obligations on the German labor market and to support them in actively asserting their rights.
